This week was even busier than last, and for many of the days, my Savor 180 tasks kept me going. They helped cut through the noise and break up my days. One of my favorite tasks was task #12, which was to laugh one of those gut-busting laughs. Truthfully, it was hard to find something that would make me laugh that hard. Many things I saw or watched made me giggle, but a gut-busting laugh? That’s a tall order. Even for me, and I think pretty much anything is funny. But my husband introduced me to Japanese pranks. Now, I don’t normally think pranks are funny, but ohhh my gosh. I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING. Tears were streaming down my face and I was laughing uncontrollably. Now I know if I’m ever having a bad day, utter hilarity is just a click away.
For task #14, which was to listen to a different genre of music than I’m used to, I chose classical at first. I listened to it on the way home, but the songs Pandora chose for me were slow and, well, made me even more tired. I appreciate a good classical music piece, but it just wasn’t the best time for me. At home, I turned on some smooth jazz while the girls ate their dinner. Dinner at our house is always crazy. The girls would much rather play than eat and most of the time, it consists of the hubs and I getting frustrated and reminding the kids to eat and stop playing around. But that night, the smooth jazz helped me calm down and chill. Their antics just didn’t bother me as much as usual and dinner was a lot more peaceful.
The other task I loved was #16, to create a dream board. I don’t really have many magazines at home, so I looked online for a good dream board site. I discovered DreamItAlive.com, where you can create a dream board, join their social network to connect with fellow dreamers, order your printed dream board, read expert articles, take courses, and get coaching on how to live your dream life. I opted to just create my dream board and loved it. Each time I added a picture to my board, I added a message about what it would feel like to achieve that particular dream and what my life will be like once I do.
