Normally, I love to cook. I love to create yummy recipes to share with my family, friends, and readers. But sometimes I don’t want to have to even think about cooking and would much rather throw something in the microwave to heat up and enjoy—especially for lunch.
Because as a full-time working mom, I rarely have the time to prepare a lunch at home. So I am all about the easy grab-and-go options. But I also want something that’s yummy and satisfies my “food mood.” After all, they say variety is the spice of life, and I believe wholeheartedly you should try to experience and enjoy new flavors and textures for every meal—including lunch. It’s so easy to make the same old sandwich every day. Or worse, run to the same old fast food joint for a quick meal. But does anything make you feel worse than downing greasy burgers and fries that are full of who knows what?
That’s what I love about LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE entrees. They’re perfect on-the-go meals that are delicious, satisfying, and better for you. In fact, they’re my go-to option for lunches to bring to work and I make sure to always have some on hand in the freezer. They’re made with organic ingredient options and no GMOs. They also have protein-packed options and gluten-free options to suit your dietary needs. I also love that they’re great meals to fit into my daily calorie goals and that satisfy my particular craving. Maybe one day I’ll be in the mood for Asian. The next maybe Mexican or Italian. No matter what, there’s a Lean Cuisine Marketplace entree for that.
I was excited to try the new limited edition varieties: LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Cheese & Fire-Roasted Chile Tamale, LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Thai-Style Ginger Beef, LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Chicken Tikka Masala, and LEAN CUISINE® MARKETPLACE Southwest-Style Potato Bake. I found them in the frozen entree section of my neighborhood Walmart.
Since I love anything Asian inspired, I knew I had to try the Lean Cuisine Marketplace Thai-Style Ginger Beef first. And it did not disappoint. The beef was tender and the sweet and spicy ginger-spiked sauce was amazing. I added a little green onion for garnish and absolutely loved it. It’s definitely going to be a regular for weekly lunches.
My husband tried the Lean Cuisine Marketplace Chicken Tikka Masala and exclaimed, “Wow! This is really good!” This is coming from a guy who has tried other brands of frozen entrees in the past and been very underwhelmed.
Later, I tried the Lean Cuisine Marketplace Southwest-Style Potato Bake and loved the heartiness and the little spicy kick. Best part? The potatoes were cooked to perfection and not mushy. I could see how they would be great not only for my lunch, but also as a breakfast with a side of scrambled eggs. YUM!
My husband tried the Lean Cuisine Marketplace Cheese & Fire-Roasted Chile Tamale and loved the sweet and spicy chile sauce.
We both agreed that each entree was delicious and perfect for our weekday lunches. Only problem? Now we’ll be fighting over the Lean Cuisines in the freezer.
