Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 12-oz pkg fresh cranberries
  • 2 medium tart apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • ½ medium onion (about 1 cup), chopped
  • ½ cup golden raisins
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp allspice
  • ⅛ tsp cloves
  • Zest from 2 medium oranges (about 2 Tbsp zest)
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring sugar and water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 3 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  2. Return mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, pressing cranberries to "pop" them as they soften. Remove from heat and serve warm or cold.
