These refreshing Creamy Raspberry Shakes are slightly tart, slightly sweet, and totally delicious!
Growing up, raspberries were THE fruit in our house. My parents would get Raspberry Danish Twist Entenmann’s all the time and those babies made my mornings. YUM! And jam? Always raspberry, Baby. Grape jam? Strawberry jam? Puh-chah! No way. There’s something magically wonderful about raspberries. I love the sweet-tart flavor and the fact that you can eat them by the handful and they’re good for you!
Like these Creamy Raspberry Milkshakes! They’re the calorie-free variety. Or something like that. 😉 Just don’t go thinking they’re like the raspberry shakes that you throw protein powder in after the gym. Cuz these are the dreamy, delicious dessert variety. So calories are totally acceptable and expected, right? And I’d say it’s about time for them because it’s over 100 degrees where I live and nothing sounds better than something that’s cool and creamy.
I came up with the idea for these Creamy Raspberry Milkshakes when I went to eat at Tony Burgers down the street and tried one of their raspberry shakes. Whoa, people. It was GOOOOOOD. Which, of course, meant I had to make one of my own. So make it I did, my friends. And I’m so glad I did because I crave it daily now. The best part? These milkshakes are the perfect summer dessert and a wonderfully refreshing way to celebrate the 4th of July!
How are you celebrating the holiday?
- 4 cups frozen raspberries, thawed*
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
