Ahhh what a weekend. Gotta love the three dayers. How was your weekend? We had a great time. It was super busy and we were constantly going, but it was fun. Isn’t Labor Day kind of like summer’s last hoorah? Shaved ice shacks close, pools close, and it’s often the last cookout of the season. It’s kind of sad. For a minute. But then I remember Halloween and pumpkin baked goods are around the corner and that makes everything much better. 🙂
On Saturday I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. We go out every few months and when we get together, I kind of feel (and maybe act) like I’m in high school again. We ate at Red Rock Brewery so that when we got a little crazy, people would think we just had a few too many drinks. And half of us don’t drink. After dinner, I suggested we move dessert to CPK because why would you have dessert anywhere else when the CPK butter cake exists? Seriously. You just shouldn’t.
If you’ve tried the butter cake, you know what I’m talkin’ bout. That cake doesn’t mess around. It gets in and does its business, satisfying your sweet tooth and craving in every luscious, delicious, warm, soft, gooey bite. We all decided that whenever we have something so outrageously delicious or we have something wonderful happen or just have an all-around fabulous day, it’s butter cake. No more awesome. No more delicious. The new adjective to describe something truly great is butter cake.
So about this Cherry Limeade. I brought it to a family party over the weekend and it’s freaking butter cake. Yep, it’s that good. Sparkling, slightly tart limeade with a sweet splash of cherry goodness. What UP! This thirst-quenching, so-refreshing, fruity and delicious Cherry Limeade is a perfect way to enjoy what’s left of the summer. 🙁

Thanks, Amy! This drink really is delicious. And the pic is thanks to my husband. He’s the one with the camera skills! 🙂
