BBQ Chicken Flatbread is one of the easiest dinners on the planet. It’s so much better and faster than delivery pizza and guaranteed to become a family favorite!
My husband’s favorite meal is pizza and he could eat it any day of the week. Cold. Straight from the fridge. Totally don’t get it. I, on the other hand, can only have it maybe once every couple weeks and must have it warm and melty and gooey. But you would think that because it’s the hub’s favorite, we’d make it at home more often. NOPE. I can count the number of times we’ve made homemade pizza on one hand.
Maybe because I hadn’t tried flatbread pizzas before. Have you? Oh my heavens. I’m a huge fan. Especially of this BBQ Chicken Flatbread. What’s not to like? You don’t have to make the dough and you have your very own personal pan pizza that you can top with chicken, BBQ sauce, cilantro, or any goodies your heart desires. Seriously, why haven’t I tried these before now? #LateInTheGame
I found this recipe in an Intermountain Live Well cookbook my husband brought home from work. And this BBQ Chicken Flatbread pizza is seriously the easiest things to make. I like to use Tyson grilled chicken strips so I don’t have to cook the chicken. Just zap them in the ‘wave for 3 minutes. Bake the flatbreads for 10 minutes, slather them with your favorite BBQ sauce, and top them with the chicken, red onions, cilantro, and cheese. Bake them for another 5 minutes and YOU. ARE. DONE. Dinner in 15, my friends! Tell me that isn’t beautiful.
- 2 cups cooked chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1-1/2 cups BBQ sauce
- 4 naan flatbreads
- 1 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup cilantro, diced
- 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place flatbreads directly onto top oven rack and bake until slightly crispy, about 10 minutes.
- Remove naan and place on a cookie sheet. Slather each with BBQ sauce, then top with chicken, red onions, and cilantro. Sprinkle with mozzarella.
- Bake an additional 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted. Slice into halves or quarters and serve.

I just bought some flatbread and have been looking for sandwich ideas of what to do with it, but I think that I like this BBQ chicken idea because it’s like pizza. Plus, I have some awesome Head Country BBQ sauce that I think would go great with it. However, I think that I would use chopped green onions instead of a red onion.

That sounds great, Faylinn! I think green onions will be wonderful as well. Thanks for visiting!
