Teriyaki Marinated Steak is the essential grill recipe. Sirloin steak is marinated in a delicious sweet and savory teriyaki sauce and grilled to tender, juicy perfection.
There are two things I know for sure, friends. First, it’s finally getting warm here, so it’s officially time to rock the grill. Especially with Memorial Day and Father’s Day right around the corner. And second, my cravings for juicy grilled steak can finally be satisfied! What I love about grilling is that you can throw your meat and veggies on the grill, kick back, and enjoy the beautiful sunny day while you cook your dinner. What could be better? The other great part about grilling is that it’s easy to find low-carb and keto-diet-friendly recipes. Marinate your beef, steak, or pork before you grill it and cook some fresh veggies in a grill basket and you’re good to go. No need to bring carbs into the equation.
Anyone who knows me knows that I love me a good steak. As long as it’s medium-rare. My colleague once remarked how the steak I brought for lunch was undercooked. He’s a well-doner. Pssssh. We definitely had some words, but we’ve managed to remain friends. 🙂
So if you’re like me and are jonesing for a juicy, delicious steak, this Teriyaki Marinated Steak recipe is just what you need. We use it almost weekly once the weather starts to get warm. The teriyaki marinade is out of this world, with a slightly sweet and slightly savory flavor that’s the perfect complement for grilled meat. I haven’t tried it with chicken or pork, but if you’re not a red meat person, I can almost guarantee it would be amazing with those as well. So fire up the grill and get ready to wow your guests on Memorial Day or solidify your spot as Dad’s favorite on Father’s Day. 😉
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup chopped green onions
- 2 tsp ground mustard
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 4 sirloin steaks
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a large plastic freezer bag. Add steaks, shaking to distribute marinade evenly. Refrigerate overnight for optimal results.
- Preheat grill to medium-high and close cover. When grill is too hot to hold hand over grates for more than 2 seconds, it's ready. Place steaks on grill, discarding marinade.
- Cook for 6 minutes and flip steaks. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until steaks reach desired doneness. (We use the hand test here)
